I’m so excited to be co-mentoring with the amazing Arianne Costner for this year’s Pitch Wars event. Arianne and I will be mentoring in the Middle Grade category. Check back here for the Pitch Wars blog hop August 14-27 to see exactly what types of manuscripts Arianne and I will be looking for.
Check out my Pitch Wars profile here.
For the complete Pitch Wars schedule, make sure to check out their website.
In the meantime, I’d encourage potential mentees to participate in #BoostMyBio over on Twitter. While this isn’t connected to the official Pitch Wars contest and in no way affects your chances of being selected, it does help mentors get to know you. More importantly, it helps you get to know other Pitch Wars hopefuls. In the end, that’s what Pitch Wars really is about- the community! I did sign with an agent during the Pitch Wars contest, although not as a direct result of it (more on that later), but the friends and writing partners I’ve made because of Pitch Wars have been invaluable.
Good luck to all you Pitch Wars hopefuls! It’s nerve-wracking to put yourself out there, but it is worth it. Take the leap!
